Drone Captures Dramatic Aftermath Of Massive Shenzhen Landslide And Rescue Effort

Any other time, the following video would be a ringing, if comical, endorsement of Keynesian economics: build it up just to tear it down again, and then build it back up again.
However, in the aftermath of Sunday’s dramatic Shenzhen landslide in which a giant mound of mud and construction waste covered an area of 380,000 square meters with 10 meters of silt, leaving 33 buildings buried or damaged and 76 people missing with 2 confirmed dead, we can only hope that it helps more people like Tian Zeming, 21, the first person who was rescued early Wednesday morning, more than 60 hours after being buried by the gigantic landslide.
The video below is an aerial view of the rescue site of the landslide in the southern city of Shenzhen. More than 1,000 rescuers are involved in the operation, including armed police, transportation officials and firemen. Rescue work been hampered by loose dirt and muddy conditions.
